LIVING ZERMATT.

It's tough to find a place not to like
in Switzerland.

Tucked away in the Swiss Alps, Zermatt is an idyllic mountain village surrounded by several alpine mountains, where mighty Matterhorn dominates the skyline, creating one
of the most unique alpine landscapes in Europe. Explore the hiking paths, take the cable car and train up higher into the Alps, navigate the gorgeous village of Zermatt,
and go skiing all year.

Although renowned for its snow, the natural beauty of the mountains that surround it and, consequently, its mountaineering activities, Zermatt offers a wide range of traditional Swiss and cultural attractions all year round.

With the convergence of three very different cultures—German, French and Italian—Swiss culture brings together vast traditions and customs, with folk art being a curious feature of the people of Zermatt. The nostalgic atmosphere becomes the link between Swiss tradition and the rest of the world, transforming the city into an explosion of color, dance and music.

VISUAL IDENTITY

For the development of a visual identity of Zermatt, an attempt was made to recognize
its essence. Similar to the concept of identity, cultural representations are a process without end, which change and shape according to the experiences collective actions
and the feelings associated with them in order to symbolically distinguish themselves
from the rest. Starting from a previously done research, several key words characterizing the city were highlighted: nature, mountain, snow, river, fauna, flora, tradition, color, embroidery, calm, harmony, security and tranquility.
